Description:
This custom quality kit is made with better-than-original materials to replace, not cover, the old outer seat material on both the driver and passenger seats in your car. It isn't a universal kit, but a professionally designed re-upholstery kit that was constructed to properly fit both front seats in your 77-78 280Z, and even has a "basket weave" style center section of both the back rests and bottom pieces. The original-design foamed pleats are sewn into both seat bottoms and both back rests. Each kit includes step-by-step instructions, all necessary hardware, 2 back rest upholstery sections, and 2 seat bottom upholstery sections. One kit required per car (covers both seats).

Seat Foam:
If the upholstery on your seats has worn out, there is a good chance that the foam cushion within the seats is also in need of replacement. See 40-2691 in Related Items for more details. Note that replacement upholstery kits do not include the seat foam cushions.

Image Note:
The image shows a simple diagram of the format of this kit, along with the included pieces. The shaded center section will have the correct stitching pattern for 77-78 models and the original style "basket weave" material. Please give us a call at (714)639-2620 or Email us with any questions.

Availability:
Unfortunately, the supplier who previously supplied the "basket weave" center material is not able to provide this to us currently. They have cited supply issues related to Covid as a reason for this change. We are actively searching for an alternative that will allow us to offer these kits once again, and will update this page whenever something changes regarding availability. Note:
All MSA Upholstery Kits are designed to fit the years specified. For instance, an upholstery kit for 1976 will not fit on a 1978 seat. If you are looking to change the look of your seat to that of another year, give us a call at (714)639-2620 to see if we can custom order the look you need.
