Description:
This genuine, original equipment (OEM) sensor sends a temperature reading to the ECU for fuel and timing adjustments. It is the 2-wire type sensor located in the front of the driver's (left) side cylinder head. We recommend replacing this sensor (along with the sub-harness connected to it) during the longer interval timing belt change (120K, or every other belt) due to its location behind the rear timing cover (the plate behind the camshaft sprockets).

Supercession Note:
This sensor was incorrectly listed as being located on the passenger side head; while its function of sending a signal to the ECU was correct. This was based on decades old data that was unfortunately never reviewed or updated. Upon recent review, it was discovered that it was also a duplicated part number (11-3451). We chose to leave it here as a reference listing (for those who may have bookmarked the page, for instance).
