Tension Rod Set, Left & Right, Refurbished 70-78 240Z-260Z-280Z
Temporarily Unavailable
Description:
For our Premium Refurbishing, we start with only top condition cores with no signs of damage, significant wear, or severe rust. We then acid dip them to ensure that there are no hidden defects prior to plating. The end result is a more durable factory component that is great for every Z!
Tension Rods connect the front control arm to the Tension Rod Bracket on the frame. Their purpose is to prevent the control arm from moving too far forward or back (especially during heavy braking or suspension travel), thus maintaining proper caster. Over time, the bushings wear out, which can lead to sloppy steering and shimmy or vibration under braking. When this happens, the only option is to replace either the bushing itself or the entire tension rod if there is enough damage. This refurbished set includes both tension rods. Bushings and hardware sold separately, see Related Items below.
