Description:
Worn out tension rod bushings typically cause sloppy steering and vibration under braking. Any replacement bushing will fix these issues; however, only upgrading even further beyond stock bushings will eliminate undesired suspension geometry changes brought on by cornering forces. Removing these geometry changes is a must for any performance/race setup. *These high performance kits, made of high quality ABS and machined aluminum, replace the two forward tension rod bushings with a ball & socket design to do just that (additional bushings required for installation; see note below). Check alignment after installation.
Note:
Since this kit only replaces the forward tension rod bushings, you will need to purchase either two factory rubber bushings (23-4321/23-4322) or one urethane tension rod bushing kit (23-4138/23-2049) to replace the aft tension rod bushings for most applications. We recommend using rubber bushings for most applications as urethane tends to be too firm for all but the most extreme racing builds. If you do opt for urethane, you will only use 1/2 of the kit for this installation, and can then save the remaining half for later use. See Related Items for bushing options.
