Description:
As an interference motor, it is critical that the timing belt and components are replaced as a part of standard maintenance. Component failure while the engine is running is capable of causing severe to catastrophic damage to your engine. Replacing the timing belt and components at their specified intervals (60k for soft parts; 120k for hard parts) is the best way to prevent this from happening. This is the original Nissan replacement timing belt tensioner. It should be replaced during the shorter interval timing belt change (60K, or every belt) along with the tensioner spring (see 14-1981 in Related Items below).
