Description:
The timing belt is one of the most critical maintenance components in the VG30 engine. While they do have a fairly long lifespan, a failed belt will cause some serious damage to your engine, such as bent intake/exhaust valves and damaged pistons. Regardless of its condition, this belt should be replaced at 60,000 mile intervals to prevent failure and protect both your engine and your wallet. Be sure to inspect the tensioner and pulleys for damage as well.
