Description:
POR-15's Self-Etching Primer is one of the few primers that can be applied directly to cured POR-15 Rust Preventive Paint. It bonds incredibly well to POR-15 paint, and all top coats bond incredibly well to POR-15 Self-Etching Primer. It is able to be sprayed or brushed on almost any painted surface, can be sanded lightly, can be layered in multiple coats, and is ready for top coating 30 minutes later. This primer is so effective it can even be applied to POR-15 that has been cured and in place for months or even years*!

Notes:
Self-Etching Primer is NOT a high-build primer, but works on just about any surface. See 80-8248 in Related Items for POR-15's TIECOAT PRIMER (now called High Build Primer) if needed. *If you are planning to use this primer to top coat POR-15 Rust Preventive Paint that is fully cured (especially older applications), we first recommend a light sanding with any 280 to 320 grit paper for optimal results.
