Description:
This is the genuine, original equipment (OEM) storage bag that came with early Z-Cars. Original bags had 2 snaps on the front and a Nissan logo and the words "Nissan Motors" embossed on the flap. It was used to store the jack handle pieces, lug wrench, and all factory included tools. The lug nuts for the spare tire were often moved to the bag as well after the spare was used for the first time (when they were included). Starting in 1984, Nissan changed to a molded tool storage system in the rear of the car (although some 300ZX models still included a tool bag). Unfortunately, the original bags tend to become hard and brittle over time, even if they are never exposed to the elements.

Image Note:
The images on this page show a used tool bag and are for reference only. Nissan has discontinued the original style embossed bags at this time.
Embossing Note
Genuine Nissan Tool Bags have come with different versions of the embossed logo and text. The specific font and text size have both changed multiple times over the years, and the logo in the center has also varied. The overall format has been kept the same, with the Nissan logo between the words "Nissan" and "Motor".
*Supercession Note:
Nissan has superceded this tool bag to the 350Z Roadster version; however, we have found that bag is not properly sized for early Z jack tools. It can still be used to store the lug nuts and service tools, but the early jack handles and lug wrench are too long to properly fit in the bag together. At most, either the 2 jack handle pieces or the lug wrench will fit in the 350Z bag (the smaller factory included tools have no issues fitting in the bag though). We are currently in the process of looking for alternatives; be sure to check back later for other options!
Supercessions:
This part number is “superceded”. Most of our supercessions originated with Nissan. A part made for a Z31, for instance, may actually be the same as the part made for the Z32, but it was given a different number. Nissan would then later supercede the number, so that if you ordered the part number for the Z32, what you would actually get is the original part number for the Z31 (or vice-versa), as they are the same part. Other times, supercessions can exist between different parts on the same car, as is often the case with hardware of the same size. These supercessions were Nissan decisions, where replacing the “superceded from” part with the “superceded to” part results in identical performance. The vast majority of them are simple numbering changes, where the parts are literally identical. In some cases, the two parts are identical in fit and function, but the finish is slightly different, or the non-critical overall dimensions are slightly different (like one starter housing being ¼” shorter than the other on the non-attached side). They do not affect the function of the part, and in many cases, the “superceded-to” part improves upon the “superceded-from” part.
