Description:
You've asked for it for years, and we finally have it available! This aerosol paint has been blended to perfectly match the original, impossible to find blue that Datsun used on factory air filter housings for fuel injected models. It is a lighter shade of blue than the color found on the engine block. The same color paint was also used on the carbon canister mounting bracket. One can will easily cover both the air filter housing and carbon canister bracket.

Base Coat:
POR-15 Rust Preventative Coating makes a perfect base layer for this paint. The Stop Rust Kit includes everything needed to properly prep and apply the coating to your filter housing or canister bracket in order to ensure a perfect, long lasting finish. See 80-8259 in Related Items.

Image Note:
Please remember that color can look significantly different across hundreds of different monitors, screens, and settings. Also remember that even though not exposed to the sun very often, your original engine bay paints have still faded over time. We believe this paint is a very good match for the original appearance.

70-74 Note:
Some factory replacement air filter housings for carbureted models came with this later blue filter housing paint instead of the orange from the factory installed housings. If you would prefer to keep the blue color from the replacement, or want to convert to this color, you can use this paint instead. To convert your housing to the factory installed orange, see 80-8397 in Related Items. Note that you can also use this paint on early model housings or other components for a unique look!
