Description:
Tension Rods connect the front control arm to the Tension Rod Bracket on the frame. Their purpose is to prevent the control arm from moving too far forward or back (especially during heavy braking or suspension travel), thus maintaining proper caster. Over time, the bushings wear out, which can lead to sloppy steering and shimmy or vibration under braking. When this happens, the only option is to replace either the bushing itself or the entire tension rod if there is enough damage. This factory new assembly includes the tension rod only; bushings not included. Sold individually, 2 required per car (1 per side).

Hardware Note:
Most of the hardware used to install the tension rods has been superceded to other part numbers by Nissan. Here is a list of our part numbers (and quantities) that you will need:
