Description:
Eibach Progressive springs have been a favorite among Z-Car owners that use their car for more than one type of driving. They are designed in a way that allows the spring rate to increase as the spring compresses. The result is a suspension feel that is fairly comfortable under normal driving conditions with excellent handling through the canyons or in the corners of the autocross course (see our Alternative Option below if your Z is mainly used on the track; an ultra-popular option has recently returned!). This progressive spring winding means these Eibach Springs are ideal for both daily driven Z-Cars as well as long distance and cruising. An extra benefit of these springs is that they achieve a more comfortable ride quality without an overly significant sacrifice to street performance, which makes them a well-rounded option. Most applications will be lowered by approximately 1" compared to stock ride height*. As with all Eibach Springs, these kits are made from the highest grade automotive spring steel and are sold complete in matched sets of four.
Motorsport Exclusive!:
Eibach previously discontinued these beloved springs many years ago. We were able to work out a deal with them to bring each of the individual sets back into production, and they are now available exclusively through Motorsport!
Struts and More!:
Looking to take your suspension setup further? See Related Items for a variety of items that pair well with these springs, including Bump Steer Spacers, Urethane Bushings, and our exclusive Koni Struts!
Alternate Option:
If your Z-Car will mainly be used on the track, or if you plan on taking it out on a regular track day, (or your daily driving does look like a track day!), Eibach Springs may not be the best option for you. Motorsport Springs will provide more predictable cornering response, which is ideal for racing applications (they good on the street but better on the track!). See 23-4053 in Related Items for more details.
*Lowering Note:
The amount your car will be ultimately be lowered will vary based on the current springs you have and their condition. If you have the original springs on the car that are sagging 2", then your Z will actually end up about 1" higher (50 year old stock springs are known to sag significantly). Alternatively, your Z would generally sit about 1/2" higher when switching from Motorsport springs to Eibach springs, depending on the condition/age of the removed set. Eibach springs generally sit at about the same height as the discontinued Tokico springs. Please give us a call at (714)639-2620 or Email us with any questions.
