The Exclusive Motorsport Springs are back!
After a very long hiatus, the Motorsport Auto Performance Linear Rate Springs have returned! Those who have been with us for a while may remember our ultra-popular linear rate performance springs. If you acquired your Z more recently, then these will be a new option to you. Read the description below for details!

Description:
Our ultra-popular Motorsport Linear Performance Springs are perfect for the performance enthusiast or weekend racer who wants more predictable linear spring performance, as well as those who want that lower stance without Coil-Over kits. Linear rate springs give the most predictable spring response when taking on any track or mountain curves. If you're in it for the performance, Motorsport Springs give you the best possible performance & predictable cornering without the significant harshness, complexity, or expense that comes with coil-over kits (see our Alternative Option below if you want more of a touring ride). These springs are designed to be 25% stiffer than the factory springs, and will lower your Z by about 11/2" compared to stock ride height*. They are made from the highest-grade automotive spring steel and are sold complete in matched sets of four.
Image Note:
The image above shows the Motorsport Auto 1978 280Z, with Motorsport Springs installed, during a hard, fast corner at a performance driving event during a previous Z-Car West Coast Nationals. It was very predictable, and we had a blast!
Struts and More!:
Looking to take your suspension setup further? See Related Items for a variety of items that pair well with these springs, including Bump Steer Spacers, Urethane Bushings, and our exclusive Koni Struts!
Alternate Option:
For those who want more of a "touring" suspension on their Z-Car, and would prefer a bit less lowering from stock height, Eibach Springs may be a good option for you. They will provide a little more comfortable ride quality, but still offer better performance over stock springs. See 23-4041 in Related Items for more details.
*Lowering Note:
The amount your car will be ultimately be lowered will vary based on the current springs you have and their condition. If you have the original springs on the car that are sagging considerably, then your Z could end up slightly taller than it is now with any new springs, including Motorsport or Eibach springs. For instance, if your old springs are sagging 2", then your Z will actually end up about 1/2" higher (50 year old stock springs are known to sag significantly). Alternatively, your Z would generally sit about 1/2" lower when switching from Eibach springs (or the discontinued Tokico springs) to Motorsport springs, depending on the condition/age of the Eibachs/Tokicos.
